Mohammad Tajsar is a senior staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Southern California, and co-leads the ACLU of California鈥檚 Democracy, Speech, and Technology project. Primarily a litigator, Mohammad鈥檚 work focuses on national security and immigration enforcement policy as well as government surveillance and consumer privacy. Mohammad鈥檚 current docket includes Vasquez Perdomo v. Noem, a challenge to the federal government鈥檚 immigration enforcement operations in Southern California beginning in June 2025, and Fazaga v. FBI, an action against the FBI鈥檚 surveillance of mosques in Orange County. He also has significant experience protecting individuals' civil rights and privacy against public and private sector use of surveillance technology, and regularly speaks on digital rights, consumer privacy, and how communities and consumers can protect themselves online and in the world. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and of UCLA.
