National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP) funds graduate students pursuing Master's and doctoral degrees in STEM fields.

November 16, 2026 - All reference letters due
November 19, 2026 - Life Sciences
November 20, 2026 - Computer and Information Science and Engineering; Materials Research; Psychology; Social Sciences
November 22, 2026 - Engineering
November 23, 2026 - Chemistry; Geosciences, Mathematical Sciences; Physics and Astronomy

Purpose:

The funds three years of graduate school for students pursuing Master's and doctoral degrees in STEM fields.

Eligibility:

In order to be eligible, a candidate must:

- be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

- have not yet completed graduate study by August 1 of the year the application is submitted

- be an undergraduate senior, a post-baccalaureate who has not yet received graduate training, or in their first or second year of graduate school

- be pursuing research in a STEM field

Application Process:

There is no internal 葫芦影业 application process independent of the national application, but applicants are encouraged to share drafts of their applications with faculty members and with the Senior Director of Fellowship and Scholar Programs, Jennifer Locke.
