Young Initiative speakers give students and faculty an opportunity to expand their understanding of global issues. The Young Initiative sponsors several speakers each academic year highlighting particular aspects of global affairs and the global political economy. The Young Speakers program is devoted to highlighting the work and success of eminent international affairs experts and ºù«Ӱҵ alumni in public service and academia.
David Goldblatt is a University Lecturer, sociologist, journalist, and author. In 2015, Goldblatt won the William Hill Book of Sports Award of the Year for "The Game of our lives" and was acclaimed by the Sunday Times as "the best football historian there has ever been."
Jeremy Kagan is a film and television director, writer and producer. He is the Founder of the Change Making Media Lab and Professor at the School of Cinematic Arts, USC. He is the Chairperson of Special Projects for the DGA.

Her current research focuses on the relationship between law and the regulation of sexuality with a particular emphasis on sex offense laws.
